Serge Nubret Training DVD

I have just uploaded the very rare Serge Nubret Training DVD. In it, Serge shares his amazing insight on the philosophies of bodybuilding. It is a pretty long seminar and shows all the exercise variations that he recommends as well as his posing routine. Enjoy

  1. Check this guy out Riles. World's strongest kid. He's still an exceptional gymnast but he's no longer lifting the weights.

    As a kid:

not lifting weight and is older:

  2. I have seen his special on TLC before. Pretty amazing what training can do although I wonder how much was the father's influence. Be interesting to see where he is at in another 5 years.

  4. Hi Riles,

Have you considered Lyle McDonald's books concerning building the muscle and losing body fat? I think I remember you posting on his forums. I posted some information about leptin and linked to Lyle McDonald's articles as one of my sources at Matt Stones previous blog about Freelee and fruitarian diets. Some other bits of information me and Matt posted supported a high carb intake for active people and especially people with a lower body fat percentage. Vitamin E, Zinc, and Omega 3/Fish Oil are also recommended to raise leptin in people with a low body fat.

Which of his books do you find useful?

Are you going to put on size comparable to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Serge Nubret?

  5. Have you collaborated all of your research with Matt Stone? I haven't read Rrarf yet. I'm getting to it. You guys apparently share similar information. Did you get this research from Matt Stone or is this information you find and share with Matt?

I want to research more of Kelly Baggett's information. Lyle McDonald too.

Clarence Bass is an interesting resource as he is only 2% body fat and yet he is 70 years old. The only sodium he has is naturally found in the whole foods he consumes. Michael Kurilla and his VO2 Max measurements along with other free online resources involving athletics, VO2, Heart Rate, body fat, and caloric intake for lean body mass/activity level can be useful. I found a couple articles from Clarence that are very important for fitness knowledge. Barry Groves also has some interesting information from a diet perspective but not very much. Other than that I need to study more of the resources you shared with me through this blog and on facebook some time ago.

  6. I know you were talking about how you can learn a lot more from the older style bodybuilders.

Dave Draper looked very impressive at 63 years old. He's currently 68 years old. I don't know how he looks now. I personally think he looks more impressive at 63 than in his competitive days. That's an aesthetic I would rather have than Clarence Bass. Though aesthetic a lot of times can be genetic inheritance moreso than how you train your body. My personal theory is that guys such as Clarence Bass and Frank Zane would look far more hulking and impressive if they were to gain 30 pounds of solid muscle mass. It's apparent that the more muscle mass people carry their body structures look much different, even at low body fat through all the different phases. I've had that too as I look tiny and skinny at 140 pounds of body weight but I look much bigger at 270 pounds. You wouldn't have even been able to imagine that I could put on size when you saw me at 140 pounds. Any professional would have assumed I just didn't have the genetics to build a big strong solid build.

His photo at 63 years old is at the bottom of this page.

BTW, I believe Clarence Bass maintains 2% body fat monthly.
